Dial 000 in an Emergency

Honours and Awards

Staff and volunteers of the ACT Emergency Services Authority have often been the recipients of a variety of honours and awards for bravery and distinguished service.

The number of awards our members have received is an illustration of the dedication to duty and the immense contribution our staff and volunteers make to community well-being. Such awards are given in recognition of a variety of acts, ranging from efforts at a specific incident, to outstanding endeavours, to placing ones life at risk and performing a courageous act.

We must remember that staff and volunteers who receive such awards are only those formally recognised. Many more deeds, worthy of appreciation go by unnoticed everyday.
